"Cognitive Trust Architecture is the most foundational level of the entire system.” (28:55)
“That was a failure driven by cognitive trust architecture breakdown. If you over trust the AI, if you treat it like the Oracle at Delphi when it gives you numbers, you are going to be vulnerable; not just in your personal life, but your organization is now vulnerable. What I’m saying is that all four of these levels are relevant to businesses, not just to people. They’re relevant because the humans coming in the door can be compromised.” — Nate B. Jones

”Got Social Security, But it Doesn’t Pay Your Bills"
"It’s Been Swell, Sweetheart …”
People livin’ their lives for you on TV
They say they’re better than you, and you agree,
He says, “Hold my calls” from behind those cold brick walls
Says, “Come here boy, there ain’t nothin’ for free”
Another doctor’s bill, a lawyer’s bill
Another cute, cheap thrill
You know you love him
If you put him in your will, but
Who will save your soul,
When it comes to the flowers, now?
Who will save your soul
After all the lies that you told, boy?
And who will save your soul,
If you won’t save your own?
Lah-dah-dee-dah-dee, lie-dee-dah-dah
Buh-bye-ah
We try to hustle ‘em, try to bustle ‘em, try to cuff ‘em
The cops want someone
To bust down on Orleans Avenue
Another day, another dollar, another war, another tower went up
Where the homeless had their homes,
So we pray to as many different gods as there are flowers,
But we call religion our friend
We’re so worried about savin’ our souls
Afraid that God will take His toll
That we forget to begin, but
Who will save your souls
When it comes to the beggars, now?
Who will save your souls
After all the lies that you told, boys?
And who will save your souls,
If you won’t save your own?
Lah-dah-dee-dah-dee, lie-dee-dah-dah
Buh-bye-ah
Some are walkin’, some are talkin’
Some are stalkin’ their kill
Got Social Security
But it doesn’t pay your bills
There are addictions to feed
And there are mouths to pay
So you bargain with the Devil
So you’re okay for today
Say that you love them
Take their money and run
And say, “It’s been swell, sweetheart”
But it was just one of those things, those flings,
One of those strings you’ve got to cut
So get out on the streets, girls, and bust your butts
Who will save your soul
When it comes with a burden, now?
And who will save your souls
After all the lies that you sold, boy?
And who will save your soul,
If you won’t save your own?

”… to shed further light on how literary writing represents the mysterious voices we hear in our heads.”
From the Impermeable, Impenetrable Cognitive Warfare Defense Series
“In arguing that these stages occur simultaneously within Stevens’ narration, I diverge from Fernyhough, who primarily envisions these stages as occurring sequentially as inner speech develops from childhood to adulthood. Fernyhough (2004) does however suggest that “under demanding cognitive conditions, there can be a transition from Level 4 inner speech (fully condensed) back to Level 3 inner speech (expanded),” and that “it is under these conditions that our normal inner speech is experienced as an expanded dialogue” (p. 56). We might therefore position Stevens – who, for most of the novel, is under the “demanding cognitive conditions” of reckoning with his wasted life – as somewhere between these two stages, with his inner speech expanded and condensed in equal part” (Hannon, 16 Feb 2026).
